What the Shopify check reads
- How many products the public feed exposes
- Products without a GTIN or barcode
- Thin or missing descriptions, missing product type or vendor
- Images without alt text
- Product markup on a sample product page, and whether shipping and refund policies are published
These are data-quality checks, not a measure of whether any engine shows your products. For that, the audit asks the engines your product questions and records the answers and sources.

Do I need to install an app?
No. We read the same public product data any visitor or crawler can see (your /products.json feed and product pages). Nothing is installed and we need no access to your admin.
Will this get my products into ChatGPT shopping?
We can’t promise that. Complete product data (titles, descriptions, barcodes, prices, availability) is what shopping feeds and crawlers rely on, so the check shows where yours is incomplete. The paid audit then records what the engines answer for your product questions.
What if my product feed is turned off?
Then we say so and skip the product checks. The rest of the readiness check still runs.
